Mercedes-Benz Arocs 7-axle for concrete pump

The ultimate end result of adding axles. In this case, we started with an Arocs 8×4 and added 3 axles, resulting in a 14×4. A chassis extension and wheelbase modification were necessary.

By mounting 1 pusher axle and 2 tag axles, this 7-axle vehicle was created. The steering system and steering geometry were a major challenge here. We have chosen to use 2 systems so that the vehicle can drive safely at all times. By using a special axle construction and clever mounting of the air bellows, we ensure sufficient suspension travel. In addition to adding the axles, we have moved the second front axle to the rear. This is to create space for the support legs that will be mounted by the bodybuilder. For this modification, it was necessary to move various chassis components.

The vehicle will be equipped with a very special and large concrete pump. Accessibility and capacity are an increasing issue in the construction of new buildings. Particularly in areas where many large and high buildings are located, horizontal and vertical accessibility is important. The machine will be used on large construction sites.
