ESTEPE recently developed a new variant specifically for the truck transport segment. We have equipped an IVECO S-Way with a “chassisdrop” and EML axle. This combination makes the truck perfectly suited for transporting trucks.
In collaboration with the customer and bodybuilder, the specific requirements were mapped out and the concept was fully developed by ESTEPE. The design was 100% developed in detail by our engineering department and the first prototype was made on that basis. The close collaboration with the customer and bodybuilder results in a truck that is optimally prepared for for the next link in the production chain.
By a “chassis drop” we mean lowering the chassis between the gearbox and driven axle. This adjustment makes it possible to transport higher trucks.
In order to create more loading capacity, an EML axle was also chosen for this concept. The EML axle is a fully certified adjustment to increase the net loading capacity of a truck and thus prevent axle load exceedance.
The adaptation has been fully tested and homologated by ESTEPE. By drawing up a Whole Vehicle Type Approval, we are able to offer this concept in several countries.
