A great example of a product where ESTEPE adds just that little bit more to a truck, so that this truck can be used more widely. With this adjustment, ESTEPE replaces the standard 2-point belts with approved 3-point belts.
Sometimes there are certain requirements from a customer that mean the basic vehicle does not meet the specifications. Solving this and developing a product for it is exactly what we at ESTEPE are good at.
In this case, it concerns a series of almost 150 vehicles that are equipped with 3-point belts. Our way of working is extremely suitable to handle these large series at ESTEPE. The 100% design results in a 100% bill of materials. A smart MRP (Material Requirement Planning) system ensures timely purchasing and availability of materials. In this way, we guarantee continuity in the production of large series.
With this modification we reinforce the rear wall so that it is possible to mount a 3-point belt. The modification has been physically tested and homologated by ESTEPE. This allows the product to be registered in several countries without any problems.
The trucks will be used by a large company in the field of roadside assistance in England.
